After a gap of several years, snowfall has hit the north-eastern states of Meghalaya and Nagaland and it turned the region into a winter wonderland. Although it is common for the state to witness snowfall in the surrounding mountains. Mostly in winters, rivers in Dzokou, Dzulakie in Kohima freeze. That is normal. But this it is like which we have never seen before in so many years.
It isn’t just the entire of North India that is under the gnawing cold wave conditions, but the winter chill is being experienced by the locals of Northeast also. As indicated by the reports, Nagaland recently experience medium snowfall after around four decades.

Nagaland received snowfall for the first time in several years and people from the state are celebrating snowfall by sharing pictures and videos of snowfall on the Internet. Social media is currently loaded with videos and pics of the rare phenomenon and all the video clips are currently going viral.
The beauty of the north-eastern state has invited the crowd of tourists from across the world to experience this beautiful scene of snowfall. This is the best time in winter because it is a very rare sight to see anywhere else. The local people of Meghalaya can be seen in fun by enjoying with snow.
It has snowed after a gap of 37 years in some parts of Nagaland’s districts namely Kiphire, Zunheboto, Phek and Tuensangit.
