After a gap of several years, snowfall has hit the north-eastern states of Meghalaya and Nagaland and it turned the region into a winter wonderland. Although it is common for the state to witness snowfall in the surrounding mountains. Mostly in winters, rivers in Dzokou, Dzulakie in Kohima freeze. That is normal. It has snowed after a gap of 37 years in some parts of Nagaland’s districts namely Kiphire, Zunheboto, Phek and Tuensangit.
