Salt is the most essential ingredient which brings the ultimate taste and flavor in the food. Any food is incomplete without this important item as it is used to bring the taste.

Our body gets its daily amount of sodium chloride from the salt, which should be taken with food within a limit.

 

Excessive intake of salt can also be the cause of high blood pressure. Heart disease is considered as a silent killer of people worldwide. And unusual high blood pressure leads to numerous health issues like problems in arteries, kidney, and brain, heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, etc.

 High blood pressure is one of the prime causes of a heart attack. So, limiting our daily salt intake can lower high blood pressure which will have a positive impact on our heart health.  Reduced salt intake also helps people suffering from hypertension which is also caused by high blood pressure.

A recent article published in the British journal BMJ found strong evidence about what would happen if the salt in the foods we eat was cut back. Not only did cutting sodium intake reduce blood pressure in those with existing hypertension, but it also reduced blood pressure in people who were not yet at risk.
