The WHO (World Health Organization) declared COVID-19 or Coronavirus a pandemic and the WHO director-general Dr. Tedros has nominated the Bollywood actresses Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas for the #SafeHands challenge to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
After being nominated by the WHO director-general, the actress Deepika Padukone recently took to her social media to share a video as she takes the challenge.
On Twitter, Deepika Padukone shared a video of her accepting the #SafeHands challenge. The actress tweeted, “Thank You @DrTedros, for nominating me for the #SafeHands Challenge! #COVID19 surely is an uphill health and public safety task, but all of us are in this fight together! In the tweet, Deepika thanked WHO director-general for nominating her for the #SafeHands challenge.
The Bollywood actress then mentioned how everyone must ensure health, safety and fight the virus together.
Meanwhile, as Deepika Padukone accepted and took up the #SafeHands challenge by the WHO director-general, the actress further went on to nominate Tennis champion Roger Federer, Football star Cristiano Ronaldo and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli for the challenge. On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo is under quarantine with his family at his home, whereas Virat Kohli requested fans to take preventive measures and stay safe at home.
