Essential oils are oils that are mainly extracted from plants and have been used in everything from medicine, perfumes, cosmetics, food and even aromatherapy. Essential oils can be used to treat many physical and emotional health issues.

Essential oils are often used to ease stress, boost mood, relieve pain from headaches and migraines, get a better night’s sleep. The consumption of these oils can be done through three main pathways: inhalation, topical application to the skin, and oral ingestion.

Here are the lists of some essential oils with their benefits :

Lemongrass Oil

Lemongrass oil is used for stress-relief and boosting immunity. Studies have found that this oil can treat dandruff and fungal infections, and ease anxiety, headaches, and upset stomach.

Eucalyptus Oil

Eucalyptus is commonly used to treat colds, congestion, and coughs, antibacterial benefits. It is also an active ingredient in VapoRub.

Lavender Oil

Obtained from the Lavender flowers, this essential oil is all about calming one down. It is great for everything from promoting concentration to improving sleep quality and anxiety. It also has beauty benefits like promoting hair regrowth. 

Jojoba Oil

This oil is known to help in healing wounds and has many skin benefits. Applying this oil on skin helps in reducing acne, closing up the open tissue and healing the skin. 

Clove Oil

A hot and spicy oil, clove is used to treat toothaches and relieve pain.

Jasmine: 

Obtained from the sweet-smelling jasmine flowers, this oil is used as a stress-reliever with the potential to help treat skin conditions including aged and dry complexions, inflammation and psoriasis.
