And by profession all girls are wrestlers. The story is based on the Mahavir Singh phogat , who taught daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari who win the first female wrestling in common wealth games, where Geeta Phogat won the gold medal and her sister won the silver.

Mahavir singh phogat is a popular wrestler who taught wrestling to his daughters GEETA PHOGAT and BABITA KUMARI . They won many medals in COMMONWEALTH and WORLD WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP. Inshort they proud their father by winning the medals in international championship. India feel proud to have these type of daughters. Mahavir singh phgogat have 4 daughter and he teach them wrestling. Two elder daughters are already a world champion and younger daughters are making themselves to reach their sisters place. Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari are the former is India’s first female wrestler to win at the 2010 commonwealth , where Geeta Phogat won the gold medal and his sister won the silver medal. SO basically Amir khan played the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat who taught his daughter wrestling. In movie DANGAL shows that how it would be difficult for a father to make his daughter success by going against the society rules. How a father suffer by problem in doing so.
